I recently set up my new Logitech Z560 speakers and my new Audigy Platinum soundcard. My problem is that only the two front speakers work. My two back speakers are quiet and don't make a sound. I am pretty sure all the software is set up right. In sounds options I set my speakers for quadraphonic speakers. In the creative surround mixer I pick the four speakers option and turn off digital output only.

In the back of the computer where the sound card is. I connected the speakers to the line out and rear out jacks. I even tried switching them but still only two speakers work. So then I went down to the subwoofer and switched the left rear connectors with the left front connection. I also switched the right rear connectors with the right front connection. Then I started to play some music and only the back speakers would play this time. The front speakers were mute this time.

So the problems is that I can only get 2 speakers working at a time. Anything that I connect to the rear connection of the subwoofer won't play. Please help me. Thanks!

I have the same speakers...awesome.

anyway, about your problem...

i couldnt get my rear speakers to work at first too.
i thought it was some sound card or software problem, or even the speakers themselves...but it turned out to be my fault.
one of my rear speaker wires wasnt completely screwed in causing all the rear speakers not to work...

hopefully your problem is something simple like this...

hope you get them to work.

I doubt thats the problem. But I screwed in the speakers extra tight just to see. Still having the same problems. I know the rear speakers work because I connected them to the "left and right front connectors" on the subwoofer and they worked fine. But when I did that, the front speakers didn't work, which were connected to the "rear left and right". That was when I switched them. This is really pissing me off. These speakers really kick ass and I can't use them to their full potential.

Junior, turn on the PM(Private Message) feature.

Anyway, your problem is that you have to turn the FADE effect all the way UP.

Hope this helps.

scu316:
was FADE the problem why the rear speakers didn't work?

i did the same things you did, tested to make sure all speakers worked. was about to contact logitech thinking the console was broken

now i must wait until work to make sure i have FADE all the way up.

i hope this is the only problem (fingers crossed)

also, make sure that both of the inputs are plugged into the back of the sound card that you are using.
