Logitech Z5100 w/ onboard problem

My setup is Asus A8N-e (onboard audio)
with Logitech Z-5100e

I have an Audigy 2 card sitting around, but it just not very useful at the moment.

my problem is when i play music with this setup. the vocal(voice) always disappeared.
and the bass is just too heavy, no matter how much bass i take away.(i already minimized all the bass from speaker and windows setting, but seems booming all the time)

i wonder if this is the speaker's native problem? or it is time to get a nice speaker to play music (of course, i am playing mp3s(196kb, and some CDs)

I know bookshelf is nice, but it just won't work for me.. cuz my budget is around $100

I do 70% music and 30% gaming. so i spend more time to music. and it is more important to me..

so should i change a new set of speaker? and replace with ?

or how should i tune this speaker...

z-5300e?

What do you mean "the vocal(voice) always disappeared"?

Totally?

Are you playing it back as 2.1 on the speakers, or Matrix mode / an integrated sound surround setting?

hahaaa, it is Z5300e

i've always put the matrix off.

i am now putting as a 2.1 , i have removed the rear speakrs.
