I'm going to get new 5.1 speakers. I've narrowed it down to two:

1) Logitech Z-680
2) Creative Megaworks THX 5.1 550

Now i know some of you are just dying to tell me to buy Klipsch, or maybe even a nicer home theatre setup and hook it up the the computer. well 1) i don't have the money for even a cheap home theatre setup, and 2) i'm on my third set of Klipsch speakers and i'm having problems again, so i'm done with them. don't get me wrong, for the short period of time that they didn't give me problems, their sound quality was superb, but i'm just tired of dealing with them and want something new now. i've heard that, next to Klipsch, Logitech Z series is the next best thing as far as sound quality goes. but i have also heard that the Megaworks 550's are just as good. people who have either of these speakers, or may have had the chance to listen to both and compare the two, please give me some advice...

I don't have experience with the Creative speakers, but I just helped a friend install a new sound card and those Logitech speakers and they sounded really nice. He paid $300 for them. However, there is a Kenwood home theatre set up for $299 at my local Best Buy that owns those speakers in sound quality for music that I'm thinking about buying. I guess it really comes down to how much you want to spend.
