Logitech Z-640s and a 4-channel sound card?

I know a lot of ATers have these speakers...they come with plugs that go into your sound card that are: green, orange, and black

My sound card is an older Philips Acoustic with a Thunderbird VLSI 128 chip in it - it has plugs that are: green, black, red, blue

Does this mean I won't be able to hear sound from the rear speakers?

Thanks

Tim

You'll get sound from the front and rear speakers, but you will not have a separate center channel. Connect the front and rear channels (green & black) and press the Matrix button on the center speaker so it'll play sound as well.

That's weird...I tried it, but still no sound coming out of the rear speakers....

just crackling static coming out of them...

Do you have speakers set to 4.1 in Windows? Are there updated drivers you could try? Are all your connections to the sound card and subwoofer firm?
