Logitech Z-560 sub too close to electronics ?

The Z560 188watt sub is amazing. I have it 20 inches from my tower. But it still shakes the hell out of the ground under my tower. And i'm not sure if the magnetic field is affecting anything in my tower at 20inches.

I suggest raising the sub off the floor. This will also decrease distortion from the floor vibrating (no thats not a good thing musically).

Buy a pack of kitchen sponges and place them underneath.

the magnetic field from the sub shouldn't reach that far to harm any of your components

how nice are those speakers though!!!?!?!? i got mine a few weeks ago and i'm still amazed at how good they sound

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the sub SHOULD be on the floor and this made the bass sound deeper.

I thought that the sub needed to be against stuff to work right? I mean, isn't the concept behind a bass to pump, and isn't that aided by the use of the floor and a surrounding wall? Am I nuts?

Hehehe...you are not nuts, this z560 sub doesn't need any help😛

The sub isnt good on the floor if you have carpeting underneath. The carpet absorbs the sound. If you have it sitting on hardwood or linoleum, then you will get a fuller deeper sound.

If you have it on carpet, and want more, you can get a piece of plywood to sit it on.

Edit: Also, I would hope that Logitech would NOT make computer speakers that arent magnetically shielded. Not only for the parts in your computer, but the monitor as well.
