Turn your windows volume to about 60%.
Play some music (something not too quiet) at level 4 or 5 on the control pod.
The volume shouldn't be too high, about appropriate for personal listening.

Now hit the mute button the Logitech remote.

Does your subwoofer emit a brief low rumbling sound that has the same tone as the music you are listening to? It only lasts for less than a second but is definitely noticeable.

Thanks!

Once my friend gets his set of 5500s I'll see if he can test this for you. I have a Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1, and as such, can't perform your test. But that's alright, because these speakers rock =D

i just got my 5500 couple days ago and when ever i play games (6 channel direct with eax sound)..i get low hum after couple mins...it only goes away after i quit the game...i tried everything from extending ac connector to another power in another room and i have tried moving the pod connector to the sub...nothing helps.

binister,
Nope , no rumbling, my sub and speakers instantly go quiet when i hit mute on the control pod.

Even if it did and its only for breief second, i fail to understand why you are asking.
I assume it indicates a bigger issue?

Then try posting a new one here. Using other's thread means you can't put the exact problem as topic title. Might be less efficient this way.
