They sound pretty much at par with each other. I had my 4.1s for a good 8 years till the controller thingy went. I still have the sats n sub and still wondering if I can fix the sub so I can use them separately with an AVR.
I got the Z5500 to replace them, pre-owned but well worth the price.
 
damn my stupid klipsch pro ultra 5.1's died again for the 3rd time (amp)
wondering if i should just trash those and buy these now.....

My 4.1's have been in storage for about 3 years unused (better test them)I had funds set aside for a 6870,then seen this deal a few days ago on slick deals and was very tempted.

stag3 I was just reading about heat issues with the Klipsch 5.1's and apparently a design flaw that seems to be a common problem. I believe there was a repair( mod ) that can remedy your problem can't remember the forum.Don't trash em!
 
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this but just so you guys know, if you dig around online you can find the Klipsch Promedia 5.1 set for 250 bucks.

lol ive had klipsch repair the amp twice, on the 3rd i had it sent to elliottronics from the klipsch forums replace a bunch of fuses/caps, and i was considering sending them to st.peteshepard or something to install his fix/fan/cooling system. but honestly at this point, i dont think anything can keep these alive, i'm so tired of them, great when they work but the replacement/upgraded amps still only last 6mos to a year.
