thats a hot price

I picked up the 5500 last time that they went on sale on Amazon for $199. I was actually looking to buy the 5450s for the wireless rear channels , but they were more expensive at the time and alot of reviews were talking about static in the rear channels.

You guys might want to check up on some reviews before you jump on this deal, but definitely a hot price

I like how 5% of people that looked at it bought a bike instead... lol!

I hooked up these speakers to my TV today using the optical out, and there is one problem I have with them. When the scene on tv has a lot of bass coming out, the speakers make these loud defening short bursts sorta like when a microphone is close to a speaker. Anyone know how I can get rid of these sounds?

I bought a set on a wimp since it was so cheap..

Cons:
- beats my 802.11g adapter to death :(
- cheap stuff (compared to my old Logitech Z-560, don't even try to compare with Klipsch PM5.1)
- doesn't work with my SB Live 24-bit S/P-DIF (but I think this is Creative's problem)
- control center powers off by itself occasionally
- cheap remote control, buttons easily get stuck
- Sound quality: Klipsch PM5.1 >> Z-560 > Z-5450 (reliability: Klipsch <<<< Logitech)

Pro:
- wireless speakers work
- 3 digital inputs (2 optical, 1 coax)
