Anyone have these speakers? I just got mine a few days ago. They are good quality but the sound needed to tweaked a lot in my equalizer.

I mean, I had to turn down the bass all the way on the included remote and then some more in my winamp equalizer. Currently my sound card does not have an equalizer so the sound in games is off somewhat - treble/high end is lacking and sounds are muffled.

I am getting an Audigy 2 ZS soon which should allow me to clean up the sound a bit through its equalizer. So, I am not really complaining because I am sure the audigy's graphic equalizerwill allow me to clean up the sound, but I am just wondering if other people have had the same problem.

high end is lacking? Thats surprising, if anything I would assume the midrange is lacking. My suitemate alsohad to turn down his sub to the lowest level.

From what I've heard in researching around for speakers... Logitech seems to have bad bass... it's just powerful, but boomy. And it's a cheap way to get 5.1... :-/

I'm using mine with an M-audio revolution, they work good with it, but like you I had to turn the bass down, even all the way down it's still thumpin.

i have the 2.1 version, they sound great with my sound blaster card, i used em with onboard for a while and could really tell a differnce when i added the sound card. the bass sounds fine to me, and the speakers are great...maybe your just use to old speakers(bad sound) or your just use to another type of setup?

Well, it's a common remark about logitechs... and I've started to notice it on my set that I have now since I've started hearing about it... its bass when turned up is boomy rather than punchy.... :-/

Bumping up this thread for an update. My issues were resolved once I installed an Audigy 2 ZS with newest drivers, and tweaked settings with the included controls. Z-5300's sound great now.
