Which one should I get? I mostly do homework on my computer, but when my school semester ends I plan on playing video games, mostly fps such as CS, battlefront 2, and maybe doom3.

Other games I play are starcraft and maybe i'll get warhammer online when it comes out.

Looking for best bang per buck.

I've been using MLI 699 for 10 years now. Speaker has gone to hell, dial is screwd up and sound barely comes out of left speaker.
 
I'm using those X-540s right now and to be honest, for any serious listening, they're disappointing. They're nice for casual listening, but whenever I go to my friend's room (Klipsch ProMedias and Logitech Z2300s), the sound is soooo much better. Speaker surround sound usually doesn't work well for serious gaming, either (especially CS:Source, which is highly sound-based). When I game, I plug my headphones in.
