Logitech Wireless Mouse lagging when there's network/disk usage

my mouse is a Logitech MX Revolution but i'm 99% sure this problem isn't limited to this mouse it happened when i had a g7 also.
OS is WINXP
Logitech Setpoint Driver and control Center Version is 4.60.122

problem: mouse lags in desktop usage whenever there is disk or network usage. Usage doesn't have to be heavy, any small amount and it lags. (i monitor disk and network usage with google sidebar and the 2 events coincide perfectly)

anyone have a solution?

I have seen that happen on a server when there was a corrupt data base running and using up most cpu processing. Do you have a database running by chance? Also I would scan for deeply incrested spyware that will also do it.

no i dont have a database running, and no i dont have much (if any) spyware running... but my CPU is running f@h 24/7 but this still only happens when there is disk usage or network usage detected by my sidebar gadget.

i have tried the DPC latenc checker, what does that have to do with this problem???
i have a gigabyte ds3 motherboard and there was a huge scandal with the mb and the DPC latency..
