So it used to be that with Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos you could swap out the mouse and use another Logitech one and you wouldn't have to install that second IR receiver, but is this still the case with the newer Logitech models that now have a compact IR receive instead?

I'm particularly intersted in the LX 710 and the MX 3200 and pairing them with either a MX620 (which I have now) or a NX Revolution. Yes, I know that if I bought the MX 3200 then I wouldn't have to worry about this (since it comes with a MX620) but it'd be nice to know in case I want to upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

In my case I needed to install the receiver of the new mouse too. Also, in device manager, I had to disable the mouse that came with the keyboard set in order to keep it from showing up in the setpoint software.
