Logitech Wireless Keyboard isn't working...

I have a Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical Keyboard and mouse. I had some serious problems with my system (XP) and when I fixed them, my keyboard won't respont at all... (not even in DOS)... I'm writing this from my old keyboard by the way...

anyway, so far I've checked the batteries, I've tried to reconnect the cables in teh back, I've tried updating the drivers, rolling back the drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers... no luck at all... I have nooo idea why would it do that.

my mouse works fine by the way

any help appreciated

So um yeah.. my friend needs help. Anyone have any advice?

Well, his keyboard worked before... only until hes gotten a recent harddrive error (a small 8gb harddrive of his died), did it stop working.

Anyone have any ides?
