I just got my Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse today! This baby kicks butt! Does anyone else have this mouse? Did any of you install the software for the mouse?

I can't believe they shoved two AA batteries in the box, just so that they could have that little light on the box flash. Oh well... It looks cool. =)

I'm using one right now at work. I've had an Intellimouse Explorer at my house for a while now, so it's nothing new for me :) Nice mouse though

I've got the Mouseman wheel optical, and the original Mouseman Wheel with the ball.

Funny thing, in WinME the Mouseman optical doesn't do well if you move it really fast, like when going from one side of the screen to the other with the curser as fast as you can. It just stutters and the cuser stays where it is. It doesn't do that in Win2K though.

Otherwise it's a great mouse, although I think they made the thumb button too hard to push. I like how easy it was to push on the old Mouseman ball.

So I still use my original Logitech Mouseman for games.

I had that problem in WinME. Very irritating. Problem solved with Win2k though. :) I thought it was cool that they included the two double AA batteries. I installed the whole thing on my nametag for work. :p

I have it and it rocks big time :) Its good for CS and most games like that in general. All software installed first tiome no glitches or hitches and any other newer drivers installed no problem at all.

So its a cool little fella :)

I have the mouse, but not using WinME, so can't test, but if you are using the PS/2 adapter on it then the problem might be sampling rate. I think the sampling rate in win9X is either 30 or 40 times per second. NT/2000 defaults to 60/sec for PS/2. You can change this with PS2Rate for win9X or in the device manager advanced properties for the mouse in 2000 (up to 200Hz, I think). If you use the USB connection then the sampling rate is 120Hz in both 9X and NT/2000, I believe.

I've had my iFeel mouse (got it for the color, woohoo!) for a few weeks now, and I love it. Though I must say that the Logitech software is a bit unl33t. The mousewheel would act quite strangely in games and such with the logitech software running at startup (some program named em_exec). However, once I disabled that thing, it worked flawlessly.

And no, the iFeel part isn't worth it, trust me...:)

the only gripe i have with the mouseware is when i use paint-shop pro or any other program that uses the mouse wheel to zoom. it seems that the mouseware makes my mouse wheel click twice, when it should only click once. the only way to stop this is to kill the mouseware program.

heh yea for my optical and optical ifeel they had 2 duracell ultras powering that box led.. wonder how long that thing would keep running:p free batteries are good anyhow.. even partially drained ones:p as for refresh, usb is 125hz.

as for game wheel... don't disable em_exec, just run the game regfile u can download from logitech. i dunno why they don't include it witht he mouse software or as an option:p

Yeah, I got one about 8 months ago now. Still love it. Bought it for use at work where they promptly told me I can't use my own hardware, but...then they went out and purchased about 50 of them and gave me one. Lots of people at work have them now.

Heh. Isn't that cool! We removed every one of them and mounted them on the end of our cubes so at night it looks like a runway. Very cool.
