looking at a few logitech cams, and it seems like they all come with stands that fit flatscreens only. looking at the Ultra Vision, it looks like the stand is even built into the cam.

does logitech include another stand for CRT's or to place it on the desk?

I believe they're all adjustable in such a way that they can work with a CRT, if they don't specifically have a separate base, it's just more obvious that they're designed for an LCD since it requires such a different shape. Specifically, from the specs of the Ultra Vision:

Adjustable base fits any monitor or notebook

So if it didn't fit a CRT, they'd be advertising it falsely. I think on this particular model, the camera part is a separate, rotating piece, so that one side of the clip can move. So if you clip it on an LCD, it hangs from the clip, and you angle it up as much as needed depending on the LCD tilt and height (the clip is obviously too deep to really "clip" onto a thin screen). If you put it on a CRT you'd more likely have to tilt it downward.

The QuickCam Fusion specifies that it's a "universal monitor mount". They also have the QuickCam For Notebooks Pro, which obviously is designed only to mount on LCDs, and the specs say it has an LCD clip, which is actually a spring clip designed to latch onto thin panels.
