My subwoofer (Z-5500) will randomly make deep thump noises whenever A. someone turns something high-drain on, like a hairdryer or vaccum cleaner, B. the AC comes on, or C. oddly enough, when I turn on my bathroom exhaust, and it ONLY happens with my bathroom.

I have a car audio system in my room. hehe. It shakes the house. You could feel the floor flex.

logitech makes more than one set of 5.1 speakers

try to be more specific with the model, it might help.

have you tried plugging them into different outlets than what you have them in now?

Is is just the sub that turns off or the speakers too?

I was thinking maybe you had an overheating problem with the amp, but that would probably cause the speakers to stop too as they are also powered by the plate amp in back.

Do you have the sets ventilated decently?

There are fuses in the sub, but it shouldn't be able to turn back on if this was a blown fuse thing.

Do you have the sub volume up all the way or something?

Does the sub stop working and then come right back, or does it stop and then it takes a long time before it works again?

Connection problem with the source?

Maybe if you turn down the volume on that pissbox to normal levels it won't crap out on you.

But then again, maybe not :D.
