Logitech Quickcam fusion works fine in one computer cannot get it to be seen hooked up in another

where it is not working, it is an hp type e-machine with 1/2 gig ram and 2.6 Ghz celeron Home edition XP

I tried several ports USB to get it to be recognizes but when I open the software to set up the preferances on the cam it says it is not hooked up but works fine in my 1.4 gHz Athlon with win XP pro.
Any suggestions? I reinstalled the version 1,1 software just downloaded from Logitech but it cannot find the drivers and the software leaves no folder in which to point the driver to...
