Logitech QuickCam® Messenger

I posted this thread at the General Hardware forum with no luck.

I'm looking for an inexpensive webcam to use with MSN Messenger 6.0. I was looking at the Logitech QuickCam® Messenger and I was wondering if anyone around here has had any experience with this model.

I don't care much for the software bundle. I'm comfortable if it only has solid drivers, a good control panel and relatively low system resources usage. I'll be using just with MSN Messenger 6.0

Oh, and one more thing: Does the webcam work instantly with Messenger 6.0 behind a router or do I have to set some port forwarding?

i think u made a good choice in using logitech quickcam, cheap and will get the work done. i have a quickcam express for about 2 years now, which is like the crappy version of quickcam messenger. i got this for free with my internet company for signing up with them. as for drivers, i have never run into a problem with them. but the drivers are incompatible with windows 2003. use xp and below is reccomended.

i have used it on msn messenger and it works like a charm. no slow down on my system what so ever. control panel is easy to use and user friendly.

Nope. I also run a router (linksys) and you just plug it in, install drivers, and your done. Simple to use!
