Logitech optical USB mouse and WindowsME ?!?!?!?!

Hi peeps !

7 out of 10 times I restart or just power up my system, my mouse doesnt get activated !!! after another reboot or today I even had to reboot twice, it gets activated.

Sometimes windows just starts up, but sometimes I also get that blue screen. With the following errors(1 line per error screen that is):

OB : 0167 : 000075DS
OE : 0167 : 00006655
O6 : D14B : 0000FF34
OE : 0187 : BFF62808

Any ideas if this is my mouse or is it windows ???
thanks in advance.

PS I'm also posting this in the Operating Systems forum.....

I read somewhere that Windows Me does not like logitech mice.
It is a driver issue Logitech apparently could not care less.

I was using one and getting all sorts of weirds things happening.

I uninstalled the logitech drivers and just used the Win Me ones and it has been fine.

However that was with a normal logitech USB mouse.
I am assuming you use the same drivers for both.
Anyhow i am going to get one tomorrow I will let you know if I have a problem using Win Me drivers with it.

Are you using USB to connect the mouse? If so, I was having the same problem with the same mouse only on Win2k. It would do the same thing you mentioned, Windows would not initialize the mouse. Also, whenever I would print the mouse would die at random. How did I fix it, by using the PS/2 adapter.
