Logitech optical mouse question:

My friend and I both have the same model Logitech Optical Wheel mouse. When my machine is off (not in standby, but full shutdown) the infrared light does not come on. On my friends machine, the optical light is on even when the computer is fully shut down. I can't figure out why, both are plugged into the PS2 port. His motherboard is an Abit BF6 slot 1, mine is a Gigabyte 7ZM socket A, both are ATX. Thanks for any info!

Some motherboards still supply power to devices even when they are switced off from the front,anyway my mouse light goes off when I switch the PC off,so it depends on the motherboard,nothing to worry about.

It's probably better that it turns off, it'll use up the battery faster with it on, and you obviously can't use it while the computer is off.
