Logitech Optical mouse not moving the pointer

Okay, here's the deal. I traded with jodokast for a Logitech Mouseman iFeel. I'm running W2K with a regular old Mouseman Wheel with no problems. I plugged the iFeel in and the pointer wouldn't move. Buttons work, but no pointer movement. So I asked jodokast, and he said to install the software, power down, THEN plug the iFeel in (like with Boomslangs). Still no dice. Buttons work, but pointer doesn't move. I've since upgraded to WinXP with the same results.

I know it's not the USB port cause both my regular Mouseman and a Microsoft Intellieye Explorer work just fine. So, I don't know if it's the optical part of the mouse, or some weird obscure software problem. Any suggestions?
