I have the new cordless optical mouse from Logitech. I works great except that it doesn't in all areas of my mouse pad. I need a new mouse pad that not only provides for precise movments, but also allows the optical eye to pick up on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I also have a Logitech corded optical mouse...which came with a mouse pad that works great. I wish the expensive cordless mouse also included a pad.

As long as it doesn't have a reflective surface like glass or a mirror any pad will work, although the way they work a solid dark color with som surface grain would be best. Heck with an Optical mouse you can use a pine board for a pad.

I personally use an Allsop Purple RainDrops mouse pad. It works wonders with my mouse and is easy to wash and clean and the surface is fabric and the base is rubber. so smooth top for mosuea nd grip for the bottom. The fabirc also helps the precisions of the mouse also becuase it can "See" the imperfections and respond accordingly.

Hope this helps you,

Albert.

Is your mousepad plastic coated? That might be it; my dad had trouble with an optical mouse on an ID4 mouse pad. I gave him a cloth and rubber mouse pad I got for $1 at a computer show; it works fine. That's what I personally prefer - the cloth and rubber ones.

I think the Everglide is prett sweet but a bit expensive for a mouse pad. You might want to look into it and see if it is worth the investment for you.

I have a cloth mousepad with a picture of the ocean and the sky...with giant eyeballs floating around. There aren't any solid colored places on the pad, so I figured it would be good for the optical mouse. For the most part it is...but there are certain places where it doesn't read the pad. I will check into the pads that were mentioned above. Thank-you all.
