Logitech mx600 mouse from mx3000 desktop set???

I use the keyboard from the mx3000 desktop set as well as a G7 mouse. The mx600 from the mx3000 desktop set is leftover. Has anyone had any luck with getting an extra receiver for the mx600 so that it could be used on a different PC? If so, how did you get ahold of the extra receiver? I have been checking ebay and I also called the logitech sales number (since that is the solution I received when contacting logitech support). Unfortunately the Logitech sales person said they don't sell replacement receivers for the mx600 or the whole mx3000 set!?!?

It is not the end of the world if the mx600 is just a paper weight, but it would be nice to get some use out of it!

The mx610 is slightly different. I comes with email and im notification buttons as well. I don't think the mx610 comes with any desktop sets.
