This is the second mouse I have gone on and for some reason it is starting to randomly freeze up again. I tried cleaning the mouse but it doesn't seem to help. I don't get it. It just randomly one day starts to have this problem after so many months of great use with no freezing at all. Yes I tried it on different pcs same freezing problem. Should I look forward to this happening again ? Anyone else have this problem and found a fix to it ? The first mouse lasted a good 6 to 8 months. This one maybe 2 months tops.

Sry to read about your MX518 problems, however just for your info I have had mine for about 2 yrs now without issues. Yours should still be in warranty so go get em. The company may have changed vendors who compromised the MX518 product line..too bad..it is/was a very fine gameing mouse.

If you are a techie sort of guy..try to determine if the problem is in the connecting cable ( wiggle it at the point where it goes into the mouse and see if you can cause the problem to occur )..most are..if so you have a shot at un-soldering it and doing a repair at the connection that is faulty. Good Luck.

Thank you for actually giving real information on a problem, unlike some others.
