Logitech MX510 mouse wheel problem?!

I have a problem with my MX510 mouse. The scroll wheel seems to be non-responsive at times. I've noticed it when scrolling web pages and in games when I want to change weapons. In games it sometimes takes 3-4 clicks (rotations) of the wheel before the weapon will change to the next one. I have tried changing the wheel setting to 1 line, 3 lines, 6 lines in the 9.8ver of the mouse driver software but makes no improvement. I have it connected via usb port. I've read some talk about adjusting the "mouse wheel sensitivity" but I dont know where this is.

Anyone had this problem?

Did you install the driver for the mouse?
Was it always like this?
If you have installed the driver, have you checked mouse settings under control panel (XP)?

Edit:
I see that you have installed the driver and tried the wheel setting. I just tried the setting and it worked for web pages for me!
I am talking about the control pannel/Printers and other hardware/Mouse/Buttons/Scrolling size.

There is also the Advanced Settings Utility for MouseWare 9.76 and above that has to do with games.
