Logitech MX500 - Buy?

Okay so I have read the stuff, and it sounds like it is a VERY good mouse and I love the feel of it. However, I had my Logitech Dual Optical crap out of me (well it does work from time to time), and this MS IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0a is not my friend (though it works) at all. It doesn't help that this motherboard has a defective part in it (I'm going to use the board til I get a new job, and then buy an nForce2 Ultra 400) either. How do you guys like the mouse? I hear the drivers for those MX-series mice (as well as the internal components) are very very nice.

I'm sure someone would recommend the MX700 instead, but thats $70 at Best Buy (I have a $20 gift card for best buy and the MX500 is $50 before the card...hence the reason i'm not buying online) and as mentioned, I shouldn't be spending too much since i'm a college student. I would buy that mouse if I had more money though 🙂.

For $30, I'd say go for it without a doubt. I just did a search for it in the Hot Deals forum and the best one I could find was the MX500 a few weeks ago at Staples for ~$30 after a PM.

I've had mine now for about 7 months now and love it. It took a while getting used to, because I came from a Logitech Dual Optical which was considerably smaller. In my opinion, this is large mouse and make sure you like the "feel" of it before you buy.

Since you said you love the feel of it, it's a no-brainer. 🙂

FYI, the Logitech drivers are always good, but there was a period when the Logitech drivers would cause irregularities with the smaller buttons on the MX500/700 mice. I am sure that is all worked out now, but I just use the default WinXP drivers.
