I've never tried the MX 1000 mouse, but I think this whole hype that it sucks for gaming is simply a matter of taste. It depends on mousing style, in particular, whether or not you lift up the mouse when you turn. I don't, so I don't think it will cause me any problems. I've heard plenty of people say it's great for gaming.

Well, personally, I want a mouse that would accomodate me and not vice versa. I don't want to find a flaw with it and "live with it." Logitech mice are simply bad for FPS games too because of their negative mouse acceleration.

Fixed.

Let's avoid sweeping generalizations shall we? That was the point of my post earlier. :cookie:

Well to be honest, I don't think its a generalization. Mouse acceleration is simply bad for FPS games. You lose accuracy since you can't control your mouse movement as accurately as without acceleration.

Actually, even if you turn it off, it isn't off. I've been playing competitive Counterstrike for almost 5 years now. I know almost everything about drivers for mice and what mice are good and aren't good for FPS games. Go to GotFrag - most popular e-sports website and you'll see the general consensus about Logitech and mouse acceleration. Same goes for the MX1000. You can check out another site like SoGamed too if you don't agree. SoGamed is mostly Euro.
