Now optical is obsolete. And your computing experience will never be the same.

I know there's a $5 off $50 electronics link out there but I believe the 5% and 7% links have expired.

Great mouse. Make sure you get a LZC seriel # and not the LZB. The B version has alot of lag when you lift it to turn etc in games.

I got one of these mice refurbished at fry's (it was the only one), and it sorta rocked down when i left-clicked, which was really annoying, so I returned it. I am actually finding that my old mx500 logitech does the same thing a little. Is this a problem with logitech mice? I'm afraid to buy one of these online due to the hassles of returning it.

Yes the problem was fixed. You can look at the back of the package and you can see the s/n. Kind of funny out of all the mice at compusa i picked the only lzb s/n there lol. Anyways returned it and am much happier. One thing to note you have to keep the cradle pretty close to the mouse it can't be to far away.

OK, good deal. So I should pick it up at a local retailer then or would some online stores let me choose & pick it out for me?

I didn't know of that Logigamer....very cool...I'm getting it when I get home tonight.

I have to use my MX1000 in the PS/2 port because if I use USB it tends to lose tracking a lot with very minor adjustments....like sniping. And it will center itself at the middle bottom of the screen. If I use the PS/2 port this doesn't occur.

Anybody else do this or does someone have a fix for this?
