Anyone play Counter-Strike Source with a Logitech MX1000 laser cordless mouse? From running a mx500/510 for the past 3 years, when I took the MX1000 out of the box I felt something was different. I turned off mouse acceleration in the Setpoint software program and went into counter-strike source. I was jumping around like crazy all over the screen. How I normally looked more right, i would sort of look upper-right. It was strange, and I swear I wasn't moving my hand upper-right on my xtrac mousepad.

I have the holster about 2 feet higher than my desk and 2 and half feet away from where I have my mouse. Would that be a problem? I tried putting the hoster on my desk and my mouse on the desk but I swear I still felt a itzy bitzy slower response time compared to mx510.

Anyway, any advice? Recommendations? How has your experiences been? PM me if you want a 1 hour old MX1000, as I am 80% sure I cannot accept this mouse if I can't play CSS with it.

i don't play CSS...sorry but i don't experience the same problems when i played HL2. i know you counterstrike people are religious about your sensitivity settings... so if you're used to your mx510 why change? every new mouse should have some "itzy bitzy" difference

The only problem i have had with a mx1000 and gaming is that if i lift the mouse it pauses before i can move it again

the mx510 is best for CS according to most CS pros. I don't care, I love my mx1000 and i'll play with it. I'm still wondering how ANYONE could say it's too heavy, are they crazy???
