Hello. My first "Hot Deal". I hope someone finds it useful.

Circuit City has the Logitech MX1000 for $39.99 after $40 mail-in rebate (valid on purchase between 12/18-12/24).

Best Buy has the MX1000 on sale for $69.99.

So, pricematch the MX1000 at Circuit City with the Best Buy price and you get:

$79.99 - $11(110% pricematch) - $40 (mail-in rebates) = $28.99 +tax.

I just did it. No problems.

Well, I ended up buying it first not knowing the price at Best Buy or I wasn't aware of the sale yet.

So I went back, and showed customer service a printout of the price at Best Buy and they gave me back 110% of the price difference. I thought it was an ok deal without the PM.

Looks like it could be plenty "hawt", especially since there's a cc & bb just down the street. :D:D:D I like it!

I've heard if you take the item back later (not when you purchase it) to do a PM, you'll have better luck as the CSR may not know of the rebate.. g'luck!

Usually that works because, if you PM when you buy they see the rebate print out and question the idea of a PM. You can always buy it in the middle of the store, and then bring the PM to the CS Counter (hiding the rebate forms) and that works most of the time.
