So I came back to my dorm and wanted to use some of the quick keys on the keyboard, namely next track and previous track and found all that they're all completely remapped. The F-lock key is now my mute button, f-lock is now my next track, email is my mute, it's all wrong.. I have NO idea how this happened and I have NO idea how to fix it. I uninstalled the itouch software and then reinstalled it and it did no good. Anyone have any ideas?

Room mates playing tricks on you??? When you uninstalled did you manually remove any terds lying around that may still hold the old configuration info?

I have this exact same problem from time to time. Here's how I fix it:

-Hold down the Connect button on the base until it flashes
-Then hold down the Connect button on the keyboard for 10 seconds or so

Hope it works for you!

I also saw it posted on the Logitech forums to take the batteries out of the keyboard, type on it for a bit to discharge remaining electricity, and then leave the batteries out for a while. This didn't work for me, however.

You might also want to enable the secure encryption. Its possible someone else in the dorm has the same keyboard/mouse set and their software is sending out information on the same channel.

I am having the exact same problems with my keyboard...in fact, I've tried all the suggested fixes here to no avail. Now my keyboard won't even respond at all. Can't even get it to connect as far as I can tell.

i have two logitech wireless keyboard / mouse combo devices (Cordless Freedom and MX Duo).. have had intermittent problems with both, but got them to work after awhile.. I would suggest radio interference as a possible culprit. Also, you may want to try downloading the ITouch software from the Logitech website, as it was recently updated.. I isn't much of a resource user, and it makes cool things display on the screen when you change volume etc.. ;)

I believe that when you do the reconnection procedure above, it changes the channel as well.. Try also establishing a secure connection through the ITouch driver. This might alleviate any random other keyboards you might be picking up... good luck!

Oh, and if all else fails, try plugging the keyboard / mouse in through their respective PS/2 connections, instead of using the USB. Some PC's don't like USB keyboards....

I have tried all of the above...the keyboard apparently doesn't send an intelligible signal to the base.

ok, found something that fixed it for me.

first, I hear that this is a firmware error, and so to reset it, you have to drain all the electrical energy from your keyboard. you can either unplug it and hit keys for 30 minutes or so, then hope it worked at retry, or if you plug in the batteries backwards for 10 seconds or so, everything works wonderfully, like it was new again. I had to reboot after, to get it to work, but it did work, in the end.
