This is probably the strangest problem i've encountered workign with computers. My two year old logitech mx duo keyboard/mouse combo has been working great. I love the response of the keys and teh mouse. the batteries always seem to last for quite awhile too. but yesterday, a bizarre thing happened. all my hotkeys switched functions. For example, my mute key suddenly started to toggle the F-lock function and my fastforward function started toggling webpages. the programmable hotkeys don't even work anymore. even though i checked the i touch configurations software and it says everything is fine. I have no idea what happened. anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

btw, i have already tried switching the batteries.

Try re-installing the software?

Although it kinda sounds more like a hardware problem. Was anything spilled on it? Or was it dropped/hit/etc recently?

I dunno, I have the logitech access keyboard, and I turn off the extra buttons at the top. I never use them and they bother me.

Sometimes my software doesnt end up loading either when either restarting or from a cold boot. It doesnt happen often, but it does happen none the less. Ive found changing the boot order of the software at boot helped relieved the problem. I placed the Logitech software last on the list. You can either uninstall it, then reinstall it, makig it last to load, or you can edit the msconfig file a little bit to change the order in which everything loads.

I don't use the Logitech iTouch software at all (don't really like it), but I still get this same problem from time to time. What seems to work for me is pressing Connect on the base, and then holding the Connect button on the bottom of the keyboard down for 10 seconds or so. Sometimes I have to do this a few times before the button functions go back to normal again.

I hope this helps!
