Mouse

Newegg has the same thing for 20.99 after MIB and free shipping.

Is this mouse any good? I am looking for a new one.

I am using this on my secondary machine; diamondback 3G it was replaced by feels better to me in terms of shape and button clicks, but mx518 is still very good. In particular, although I normally frown on mice that are huge and palm-oriented, but logitech somehow got it right and I have no problem using it with my fingertips. Performance wise, the two are supposed to be in the same league. Price seems about $10 lower than usual deals we have had on it thusfar.

I wonder if a rebate from each of them would work to get two mice?

Buy.com rebate is dept 11563, and NewEgg is 109566. Terms say one per address.

Is this a worth the upgrade/rebate work from a MX 510? I ask because mine is starting to age and I really do like the design. I had a G9 but didn't use all of the features and went back to my 510

Honestly, I used to own a 510 and personally, I don't see much of a difference between the 518 and the 510. But that's just me. I also think it's going to be a while before you see the 518's at a price this low.

After Men In Black? :D

I've owned this mouse for over two years, best gaming mouse I've ever owned. Perfectly ergonomic (for larger hands). You'll wonder how you've been shooting people in the face without this mouse; yes this mouse really does make you get more HSs.

If you game it is a big upgrade from the 510. If you don't game you won't need the extra resolution it offers. Otherwise they are pretty similar.

I'm in for one. I'm a little tired of my (logitech) wireless mouse running out of batteries. Hopefully the cord will be of sufficient length.

I went from the 510 to the 518 because I wore out my 510's left clicker :p
The DPI adjustment is nice on the 518. I use it for sniping in FPS games but the DPI+ button is super easy to hit fast if needed.
I replaced the button on my 510 and gave it to my brother.

I have the 510 and I really liked it but it is wearing out so I thtought that I would give it a try since others thought that it is a good replacement.

just bought one. I previously had a razer copperhead, but my cat thought it would be funny to chew through the wire. So I've been on an old school MS intellimouse that has the right click all broken.... thanks for the find!

MX518 is a good mouse.

I would still be using it but I have smaller than average hands, so a OCZ Equalizer Notebook-sized laser mouse was a better fit (and also has adjustable DPI).

Adjustable DPI is quite nice.

Pretty much the only difference between this mouse and the MX510 would be the 1000DPI extra of resolution that you get and the on-the-fly DPI adjustment. However, I do feel like the DPI adjustment is almost not worth it...but for a $20 mouse, it's a tank.

Super deal! I'm getting one to back up my current MX518. I've found I need to actually TURN DOWN the resolution for FPS games. The newer mice are far too sensitive for my tastes in gaming.

I currently own a G5 right now, but my previous mouse was an MX518, which I prefer over the G5 solely because it has two right thumb buttons. The g5 only has 1, which is a disappoint for me.

The second revision of the G5 has two thumb buttons. Even says so on the box: "NOW WITH TWO THUMB BUTTONS" OMG!

who would go from a G9 to anything less? very odd.. i have a few g9's and my kids cant keep their hands off of them.. very good tough mice.. but ill bite for one of these after i check what MIB means.. figure its suppose to be MIR.. maybe it stands for mail in battle?
