Logitech MX-500 mouse pointer jumps on it's own.

I've got an MX-500 mouse and the mouse pointer just jumps about an inch or so on the screen on it's own. You really notice it in situations where you need to click in the same place over and over. You're paging through something and then when the click doesn't work you look and the pointer is about an inch away down and to the right.

At first I thought I was just moving it by accident, but when I started looking for it I noticed that it seems to happen mostly when a new screen loads and then sometimes it just hops.

Any ideas,
BGC

i posted a similar thread a week ago... i actually see the cursor move by itself even if the mouse is not physically moving

Yep, that's what happens to mine, just hops over about an inch.
