Credit to this goes to tekkamanxp. This is the best price I've been able to find on this mouse that I desperately need after breaking my old mouse from some mad micro'ing while playing Warcraft III over this past Thanksgiving break. 😀

The price is $59.99 minus a $20 rebate. Free shipping because it's amazon.. For the rebate, you must purchase by 12/31/06 and have your rebate postmarked by 1/31/07.

How does it compare to the G7?

I have the MX 1000, and I had gotten the G7 to replace it, but it wasn't much of an upgrade at all especially since it was more expensive. So I returned the G7 and am pretty happy with my MX 1000. I wish I had gotten it at this price though.

what I hate about the mx1000 is the stupid cradle recharger. It has one cord running to usb and another to power it up /wank

I hate cords tho so maybe it only irks me that this wireless most is the most non wireless mouse i've ever owned -_-

functionality wise it cant be beat tho which is why I still use it

Its the best mouse I've ever owned. Barely any lag, lots of customizations, and comfortable (for a righty)

I got mine from Office Max 2 months ago for 49.99 no rebates
