how do i bind botton #4 where your thumb is on the right to a certain function? I wanted to bind it with ducking. It comes up as MOUSE1 but my mouse1 is also my botton #1 also so it just switches mouse 1 to duck. So my botton #1 and #4 are acting like the same botton. I hope this isn't too confusing?

Use the logitech drivers and the mwheel patch.

When you configure your 4th button, set it to use another key like control. Bind that key in half life.

I find some games dont usually like having a 4th mouse button.

This didn't work I binded my backspace key to the 4th botton and then in CS I binded the backspace to duck. No good. The backspace works in every program but doesn't work in CS. Whats the mwheel patch? Where do I get it?

I had that mouse (took it back because of cursor stuttering) and have a regular mouseman wheel. The only button that USED to work was setting the thumb button to 'shift' in the mouse properties in Windows, then in the game set a function to 'shift'.

After I got the latest video card, a Geforce mx, it freezes the screen when I click the mouse button if it is assigned to 'shift'. The only recourse I had was to assign it to 'middle button' in the mouse properties. Now in the game I assign whatever I want to my mouse3 and my thumb button AND my middle button do the same thing. I have mine set to 'walk' so the bad guys won't hear me. I lose one functioning button this way, but I have no chice and I will take a thumb button any day over a middle button.

I would first try setting your thumb button to 'shift' and if that doesn't work, set it to 'middle button'.

Also, the 'wheel patch' is a joke. It does not work. Don't bother with it.

I think that will be difficult todo, if only CS would implement a bind for the fourth button that would be alot easier. BTW mpg how do you like your optical in CS ? what happens when you lift the mouse to move it for a second does it go crazy ?

Nemi, the wheel patch works fine for me, you do know that you need to run the .reg file that the exe extracts to c:\logitemp right?

I have my optical set like this

thumb button (4) as middle button
scroll wheel (2) as universal scroll

I don't have the latest drivers, I'm using 9.00.99

I used to have that problem in Cstrike, but I went back to 98se and I haven't seen it pop up again.
