I just got back from Best Buy and OfficeMax (the actual stores) and they still had this product listed for $49.99.

I tried to get it for $29.99 at the OfficeMax store but they wouldn't do it, saying "our website prices are usually cheaper." But, I'm thinking this is a misprice or something... not just a cheaper web deal.

So get it while it's hot!! :p

I bought one at this price from Best Buy in-store just a week ago. There were no obvious markings that it was a "sale price" so it might be that Logitech is moving to this as a standard price in the near-future. Print out the page at officemax.com and take it in to Best Buy and they might take the price under consideration.

I like the mouse so far (upgrading from the MouseMan Wheel, which is functionally identical). The buttons are softer than the MM Wheel, which I actually prefer.

actually, for those interested, I worked at OMAX for a while and they have a policy that if you bring in the print-out they will honor thier web-site prices. If they tell you "no" ask for a mgr. If that mgr says "no" explain that you are familiar with thier policy and if they don't wan to offer it to give you the DM's phone #.

Doh... wish I knew about that before. I went to the local OfficeMax, brought the mouse up to the register where the manager supposedly worked, she scanned it and said "Yup, it's $49.99. Our website prices are usually cheaper... blah blah blah..." Basically tell me to scram and order it online.

Might as well cancel my online order and bring that page back to OfficeMax to shove it in her face. Thanks for the heads up sparkle!

You sure about that Sparkle? How long ago did you work at Office Max? On their website, it says:

Because of the efficiency of Internet ordering, OfficeMax.com pricing is exclusive to purchases made at OfficeMax.com and is not valid in OfficeMax retail stores or with phone or fax orders.

sparkle,

I just called OfficeMax.com Customer Service and they said that it is up to the Manager's Discretion of that particular store whether or not they will match the price off the OfficeMax website.

What do you think that's all about?

Ok... situation gets weirder.

Just called back that OfficeMax I went to during lunch and talked to another manager. He claims the OfficeMax.com customer service rep was wrong and that it's against company policy to pricematch the OfficeMax.com prices altogether!

Wish these people would get their stories straight. :|

Just called the only Office Depot here in Austin. Manager said they don't do pricematches with the OfficeMax website either, just the local store. :(
