Logitech Mouseman scroll wheel + Quake 3 + Windows2000

On their site there is a registry hack that makes the scroll wheel operational in games, but it's only for Windows 95/98 NT 4.0.. does anyone know what I can do to get my mouseman optical's scroll wheel working in games/Quake3 under windows2000? it does indeed work fine under win98SE but since I am not using it... who cares?

if anyone knows of a hack or something I can do i'd love to hear about it.. i really miss the wheel when I am gaming!!

You sure this is a problem with the win2k? I didn't install anything (not even the logitech software) and my mouse wheel works great in counterstrike (great for switching weapons). I turn the wheel to choose which weapon to use and press on the wheel to select that weapon.

Actually my scroll wheel works in CS too! and UT might I add..but not in Q3.. (conveniently the game i play most)
and Logitech has a reg. file on their site for 98 machines and Quake3 compatibility with the wheel.. but I can't get it to work under win2000.. like i said, CS and UT both work. but not stupid Quake3... aaaaagggghhhhhhhhhh
