is there a way to get the thumb button on the logitech mouses to work in games? i have the mouse from the logitech cordless freedom pro.
 
Use the latest drivers (that's good anyway) and then in the mouse properties of Windows' Control Panel set the mouse button to be "Middle button" and most games should recognize it.
 
I tend to use it for zooming, secondary fire for weapons, that sort of thing. It works great for that. Half-Life was nice because the thumb button would fire the grenade launcher on the MP5.
