Logitech Mouse hardware problem - need help !

I have the 4 button Mouseman + wheel mouse. It's regular PS2/serial and NOT cordless. I'm having a problem clicking with the left mouse button. I took the case off of it and checked the clicker button underneath and it works fine. When I click it normally it takes a lot of pressure to get a single click. I suspect the plastic cover button must have a problem but I cannot see anything physically worn or broken. I washed the cover with soap n' water then cleaned the inner parts with alcohol and qtips, so dirt is not an issue. Please comment if you have a logitech mouse and NO I don't want a Microsoft mouse to replace it.

Any ideas what might be the problem ?

Also can anyone comment on the USB/cordless 4 button mouse to replace this one for gaming ?

Thanks...

well about ur mouse i am sure it is just messed up plastic maybe take it apart and look for extra flashing that might not have been cut off.
and about ther cordless mice my experience w/ them is that they are not good for game heck i don't like them for regular use they just seem to skip around and the signal seems to constantly get cut off etc.
hope this helps
Josh
