Logitech mouse clicks twice when you only click once

I keep getting the same problem with Logitech mice. They last slightly longer than a year, then the left mouse button goes (the button intermittantly clicks twice when you only click once.. presumably caused by the microswitch wearing out). This is the fourth mouse in a row that has gone on me.
Anyone else having the same problem?

Never had that problem - been using Logitechs for years. Have you tried setting a slower double click speed in CP/Mouse? Are you using Setpoint?

Mine started doing the same thing although it's a thumb wireless. I was wondering wtf is the mouse doing? And also the right click during gaming doesn't always respond at first unless I press it a couple of times, specially in Tomb Raider. Wish MS hadn't stopped manufacturing the old thumb optical, although I have seen those on Ebay for $300.00 to $400.00 or more. They used to retail for $29.00. Madness.....

My Razer Mamba started double clicking after 3-4 months; only issue I've had with Logitech is my RMB died on a G7 I had for years.

My G7 was out of warranty by a long time, but Logitech up and sent me a new one for free, without even having to ship the other back. Seen some people on here have bad times with Logitech customer service, but it's always been stellar for me... good luck.

Yeah, they did the same for me last time. Hopefully, I can get this replaced as well.

My MX Revolution mice started doing this after several years of faithful work. It began to occur during cooler weather and I thought a year or two I read on Anandtech forums this was a known Logitech issues. But it isn't just Logitech as some IntellliMouse Explorers mice that do the same thing in colder weather.

Its a common problem when the switch is failing.
If its an omron which is likely in Logitech (unless they are cutting corners) you could try fixing it:
