I got two similar mice.

-one is a logitech mx518

-second is a logitech mx900 bluetooth mouse

i would like to switch the button textures on them. I hate the slick plastic on the 518. My hands make it all sweaty after a while playing games with it. i want to swap them.

has anybody ever taken one of these two appart. And if the have, is the the button texure piece interchangable between the two?

two pics.

well when you open it the scroll wheel tends to come off due to gravity and you will need to disassemble other stuff
i would do the disassembly in a baking pan or something just in case...

but you will pretty much have to break it down to its basic form to unscrew two or four screws just to get off the cover which to you maybe worth it but i am fine with my cover and i dont have another to trade it with anyway :p

btw nothing should break while doing this although the wireless one MAY be a little bit harder most you have to do is move back to a rollerball mouse
