Logitech M705 owners: Does your scroll wheel wobble?

Just bought one from Amazon and mine does this:

I wouldn't usually care, but since it does it during normal use when you move the cursor around the screen, it's very anoying.

Does anyone else's M705 do this?

Whether it's just mine or not, I'm sending it back. I find it highly distracting.

Plus, the wheel in general is just too "loose", my weapons would randomly change in FPS games and web pages would often randomly scroll. Since there was no "click" for the wheel to settle in, it often did what I just mentioned during use.

Every Logitech mouse that has that kind of scroll wheel either has wobble, or develops it. Same with the loose scrolling. The tilt wheels are worse about it, IME, too (I hate those, myself, but the swappable scrolling type is nice for non-gaming). If your replacement is tighter OotB, it will get loose enough to be a problem in a matter of months.

Do you need it to be wireless?

Maybe I read that wrong, but... You DO realize, I hope, that the button closest to the scroll wheel (I'm talking about the one with the "O/O" symbol) allows you to switch between clicking, precise scroll and free scroll?

It's all packed up, ready to be sent back.

However, are you telling me there is a physical button that will tighten it up and stop the wobbling? :O

If so, I'll cancel the return!

It won't stop the wobble. The scroll wheel has a free-spinning mode and a notched mode, selectable by that button. But, it will still have side-to-side play, and false switching, unless they've radically redesigned those wheels, recently.

The G100, G300, and G400 don't just have regular wheels because they're cheap; but also because the fancy wheel is a feature that would cause more than a few of us to start buying boutique brands, instead, for gaming mice (such as Zowie, or Minix).

This is so weird for me as it's the first time i hear about it!
I've been using the M705 since last christmas and i'm so satisfied with it.. no wobble, no loose wheel, nothing of this..
