Logitech LX5Setpoint driver

Lifer
I just received a Logitech LX5 cordless optical mouse today.

XP found it and installed the necessary driverto make it work.

I was told to download the Setpoint 3.01 driver which I have done. It's almost 47 Megs. Any idea what I will gain if I install this driver since the mouse seems to work fine?

Thanks.

Install Setpoint, if you want to customize the buttons.

OK, that's what I wanted to know. The instructions say to set a restore point before installing the software. Thanks for the info.

For the record, this is my first cordless mouse and I just wanted to see what it was all about. Got this one for under 10 dollars from Just Deals.

Off I go to install.

Good for you.

Link? 😀

Seriously, this is refurbished and had free shipping.

I don't think I needed to install the software. Don't see any big difference.
