MX1000 hands down. Best mouse I've ever used, without question. If you're as picky about mice as I am, chances are you won't be disappointed.

Another vote for the 1000. I had a 700 that died, waiting to RMA so I got a 1000. Love it.

MX1000!!!!

Oh and by the way, I game with it as well. I do have the set down lag but it doesn't bother me since my mousepad is massive and I never or rarely have to lift the mouse. If you're a hardcore gamer and don't have much desk space, then I don't know how suitable this mouse is for you.

However, this mouse is hands down the MOST comfortable mouse you'll ever have. Holding it just seems so natural. As long as you don't lift the mouse, gaming on this is great although I haven't compared it to an MX510. If you're not a hardcore gamer however, I highly recommend it especially when you compare to the MX700.

Just my $0.02

any of you have a problem with you MX1000 jumping the mouse directly up on you about an inch every so often? I have tried it on multiple system, with the newest drivers, and I think it must be a hardware tracking issue. I just don't want to send it RMA...*sigh*

try using the PS/2 port, if you're using USB... My mouse was doing some weird stuff when I had it plugged into USB. Logitech sort of knows about this issue with USB, but they claim the latest drivers fix it... I wouldn't say so

Other than the USB stupidity and the fact that the battery is propriatery I have no qualms with the mouse. Stick with 700 though if you like having generic AAs powering your cordless instead of a battery you can't change if it dies.

THANKS! You just saved me a few bucks. My mouse pad is a very small round circle so I pick it up very often. Thanks for the advice! (Looks like I may have a project for the summer :p)
