I have my MX1000 mouse for about a year and a half now, it's been great, but lately it started acting wierd. It would stop while I was moving it, it wouldn't go where I wanted it to go. I tried everything listed on their site, but nothing helped. I reinstalled the software, it was always plugged into PS/2, etc. I called them, they asked me for the numbers on the bottom of the mouse, put me on hold for a couple of minutes and told me they are sending me out a new one, and there's no need for me to send them back the old one.

They rock.

mouses aren't worth anything. when you paid 70 dollars for the laser mouse (i thinkt hats how much i paid... or 50 after coupon or something) you already paid for a lifetime worth of replacement laser mouses.

😛

that said, i think they do this because microsoft does the same thing, warranty and replacement program on their mouses are pretty good.

You must have to call to get that kind of treatment. I did a mouse troubleshooting thing with them via email and they agreed that it was bad, but wanted me to send it in before replacing it.

This is also their policy on speakers. 2 year free replacement without the need to return the old ones.

When my MX1000 started having issues they sent me a brand new retail box. I promptly sold it on ebay and bought a G5.

Oh and then I sold the charger from my old MX1000 too (minus the serial number)... All in all I think I ended up getting paid to switch to the G5.

Why is a G5 better than an MX1000?

i think its 2000 dpi vs. 1000 and has a sensitivity tweak on the mouse.
its really a gaming mouse. i have both. i game with G5 and use MX1000 on my everyday rig
