Not sure how hot this is but Logitech is having a contest (read the rest before you flame me for posting a contest) I noticed in their contest rules that they will send a 25% off mail-in rebate form to all the non winners (aka losers).

(All entrants will receive a mail-in rebate form good for 25% off the purchase price of a Harmony remote)

As an owner of the 659 and 688, these remotes are awesome. I'd highly recommend one if you have many remotes.

I was just wondering, why do you need two remotes, isn't this supposed to replace all your remotes? or do you have them for different rooms... that would make sense... just wondering, thanks...

I have a dedicated HT room in the basement- that has 1 remote and another one controlling my bedroom remotes.

Hmmm Do I have to purchase the remote from logitech's website to get the rebate? If so, it's not that hot of a deal for me since I can get the 659 for around $90 shipped while it's 149 - 25% MIR which comes out to ~$112 from their website.

Plus the rebate form says exclusive for Tivo users. Does that mean you won't get the rebate if you don't have a tivo box?

Update for the rebate form:

You have to purchase from one of the following stores for the rebate to be valid according to the CSR I spoke with:
best buy
business depot
cdw.com
circuit city
comp4sure
compusa
frys
microcenter
officedepot
officemax
pcmall
staples

crap..all this time I've been waiting a 25% off coupon from logitech before I bought my remote. Guess I should have read a little better.

Sounds cool. Those remotes are super expensive (but nice looking and feature-full).

A remote for under $200, or even $150, or even $100 that makes my life so much simpler is not considered super expensive. I've replaced 7 remotes with my logitech.
