Can I pretty much control all of XPMC with this thing, or will I have to actually get off the couch occasionally?

Other input on this remote would be great. :)

Edit- Got one for Xmas. This thing kicks ass.

Spent about 30 min tweaking things last night and it works perfectly with all my AV goodies.

I can control MCE just using the logitech wireless keyboard. The only keys I use are the arrows and enter, so it'll be fine.

Excellent. This should be an Xmas gift from the wife so I can finally stop juggling our 13,820 remotes.

I wouldn't think a keyboard would be a practical remote. Also, wireless keyboards are only good for 6-9' from the base.

I also have a 15 month-old daughter who would utterly destroy a keyboard in less that a week. ;)

I'm buying the harmony this week, Ill let you know.

I've got Comcast Digital Cable with their DVR, as well as a Logitech z680 speaker setup and a three disc DVD changer (crappy apex). How does this controller, first of all FEEL and are the buttons positioned nicely for DVR style activities as well as digital cable menu browsing? I'm not a fan of the remote that came with the comcast dvr.

You will need some sort of IR receiver.... Harmony can send IR commands to a HTPC but if you dont have Microsofts ir receiver or a UDB-Uirt, you will need something to take in the IR commands the harmony sends.

I dont use the keyboard that often. Range of logitech black cordless keyboard is within 15-20M easily. I use the wireless optical mouse mainly (which has the same range) to control MC 2005 for basic functions such as viewing.
