The rules state no links to auction sites. Now, a thread telling people where to go and what to buy is the same thing. Sorry that some of you seemed to have got burned on this deal but this thread needs to be locked. You cannot do an end around the rules.

I bought one from the ebay deal. My "brand new in package" remote turned out to be old, opened, used, and dirty. The packaging was so bad that there is zero possibility that the seller thought that it was still new.

Not exactly what you want when you expect to give it as a Christmas gift...

I bought 2 of them from that seller. Both arrived in like-new condition. I have heard of others getting dirty packages, and a couple that also appeared open.

Well, crap. I hope I don't have that kind of luck. The one I ordered was supposed to be a gift.

I just received mine today.

It is NOT new. This company is lying. The package had been opened and the remote has several obvious scuffs and scratches. I would not give it as a gift.

I'll give them a chance to respond to my email and then leave negative (which looks like it will do little good).
