Logitech G910 and Windows 10 issues

I did a clean install of windows 10 pro 64 bit on Saturday and this morning I started having issues with my keyboard while in the university course shell. The keyboard stopped responding to input, keys and number pads, but the macro keys continued to function. Unplugging and replugging the keyboard did not make a difference. Closing the logitech gaming software in task manager and relaunching it did not make a difference. Only shutting down the machine and restarting allowed it to work again. I tried going back to the older software, version 8.58.183, and the same behavior is present. Funny thing is that while this is occuring my g700s mouse works just fine and is completely unaffected.

I've been messaging logitech about how their latest software, 8.70.315 no longer allows the kb to retain its color settings and they've been super slow to respond to any of my support requests. If this keeps up I'm going to have to rma this board and reinstall the g710+ and hope that it doesn't act up. If anyone else with a g910 is having similar issues I'd love to hear from you. My problem started while I was in the university class course shell but extended to anything I attempted to type in including word.

Google doesn't show anyone else with the same problem. Though there are still problems with W10. That's why I'm holding off till next year.

Do you have problems outside of the 'university class course shell'?

I've found that windows is executing power management over my usb ports even after I have unchecked them for it. It happened to me again today after I unchecked the put the usb ports to sleep to save power button. I cannot lose my keyboard while I am using it and this happens in every program I'm trying to use. When it happened today I tried using excel, outlook, ff, ie word and nothing would accept input. I could however alt tab through the programs list but no other keys would function on either kb. I found it because I plugged in my spare kb only to discover that it wouldn't work either until I weeded back through device manager power settings. I just went through power management advanced settings and disabled the usb adaptive sleep setting. Maybe that will correct this issue for me once and for all.

I've not upgraded to 10 on this machine yet, so no help there. Just wanted to chime in on this keyboard. I picked this thing up yesterday and to anyone wondering, yes, it is as drool worthy as it appears. I first saw it about a month or two ago and thought it seemed pretty awesome but no way I was going to pay ~$200 for a keyboard. Happened to be in Best Buy yesterday to look at some laptops and noticed it was on sale for $139 (YMMV), good enough. Thing is fantastic, mostly I just like the sloping on the key facings. My little boy was mesmerized by the cascading lights though.

I just checked and bb still has the board on sale. I ended up clean installing 8.1 and then upgraded to 10 and the problem went away so it had to be in the first transition from 8.1 to 10.

When I did my upgrade to Win10, Logitech had released an updated Setpoint version. I downloaded it and it did an inplace upgrade of the existing software/drivers. Never had an issue with my Logitech MK710 keyboard. Tho, tbh, I don't know if I would've had an issue with the previous version. Might be worth a shot in your case.

I've got a G910 and I'm running Windows 10. The only gripe I've got is that when I lock my computer the Logitech driver goes to sleep or the USB port is put to sleep and my keyboard changes back to all blue. As soon as I log in my color scheme comes back.

Other than that I've had no problems with the keyboard or any of the keys I've got working functions.

For my system I installed Windows 8.1, the Win 8.1 updates then immediately installed Windows 10. Once that was completed I installed all of my system drivers including the Logitech Gaming Software 8.7 and haven't had any problems.

Turns out that my clean install was corrupted. I ended up clean installing 8.1 again and after making sure that it was ok upgraded back to 10 which I am running on now. Thanks for all of the replies.

Hey guys,

I had the same issue with the G910 the keys sporadically stopped working although shorcuts like Alt+F4 still worked but e. g. Windows + X didn't. Unplugging and replugging the Keyboard had no effect. A reboot and even a logout and login worked to restore the normal functionality.

What I think is very odd is that the keys still worked in the Chrome Browser.

I guess I solved the issue by turning off selective usb suspend in the Windows 10 Power Settings.

In my opinion the issue with the G910 started after the last Firmware update for the G910 (92.2.21).
